Making disciples of Jesus Christ is God’s call for all Christians, not just those in vocational ministry. Multiply is a gathering for everyday disciplemakers with the purpose of equipping you with new ideas, encouragement, and relationships so that you can confidently advance the gospel of Jesus and His kingdom in your everyday life. Through, interactive, topical workshops, and reflection time, we pray the Spirit of God will build up the foundation of many generations (Is. 58:12) for the transformation of our cities and world!
This year we are preparing to gather our community again around the theme of “Encourage and Equip”. We will offer two different workshop times, focused on topics relevant to discipleship (Encourage) and practical how-to’s of disciplemaking (Equip). Two interviews with everyday disciplemakers will bookend our day, followed by a separate, optional staff preview for those interested in what it looks like to be a Navigator staff.

Workshop Descriptions
Encourage Workshops (Morning)
Difference Isn’t a Bear Led by Anna Snider
It’s easy to let the discomforts that arise from differences draw us away from people, leading to broken relationships with others made in the image of God. These differences are all around us, including generational gaps and political divides, cultural clashes and that one personality trait that really irks us. We know in the gospel we are called to choose another way. We are called instead to humbly engage, learn, and love across differences, which will impact:
- Our personal ongoing transformation by the Holy Spirit
- Our community as the Body of Christ
- The watching world around us
Join this workshop to explore what’s behind our discomfort and healthy ways to engage through this.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
– John 13:35
Promoting Mental Health as Christians: Self-Care or Self-Indulgence? Led by Jeff Berryhill and Eric Lonergan
As believers trying to follow Christ who modeled self-sacrifice and called us to put the interests of others ahead of our own, is there room to also work toward our own well-being? Can we make use of mental health concepts and practices while remaining faithful to Biblical teachings? Join Eric and Jeff to consider these questions and explore tools that can help manage challenges, build resilience, and foster hope.
First Aid for Troubled Marriages Led by Judy Gomoll
Do you have someone close to you whose spouse has cheated on them through porn use or has betrayed them in other ways (like abuse or abandonment )? This workshop will help you walk compassionately with both spouses toward hope and healing, in contexts of discipleship, friendship, family, etc.
Grandparenting Matters Led by Bruce Knutson
Includes – Interactive discussion on:
- God’s design for grandparenting.
- Determining your role[s] in discipling grandchildren.
- Partnering with your children.
- Shared ideas of “intentionally discipling grandchildren”
Missional Enterprise Led by Bill Weber and Gordon Decker
This workshop explores how business can be a powerful platform for discipleship and transformation and is geared to believers in business or who plan to work in engineering, accounting, finance, procurement, marketing, management, etc. in a business context. And for those with an entrepreneurial bent, it introduces the idea that we can make disciples for Jesus, make a difference in our communities, and make a profit (we call it M3). If you want to grow in making a difference for Christ and for the Kingdom of God through business – either as a coach/alongsider or practitioner, we’d love to have you join us!
The Gift of the Sabbath – Rest and Time with God Led by Paul Brecheisen
We will look at what God’s Word has to say about the Sabbath and why it is a gift to us. We will explore the themes of rest that refreshes and time with God that restores. We will also examine the challenges of practicing a Sabbath in the modern context.
Journaling as Prayer: Immanuel Journaling and Reconnecting to God Led by EunHyey Lok
What if prayer is simpler than we make it out to be? What if prayer is more profound than we realize? Simple and profound, like a deepening friendship with someone you can see, hear and touch. Join us for an interactive discussion and look at prayer as intimacy with our God.
Equip Workshops (Afternoon)
Church Discipleship: The Mission of the Church Led by Steve Treichler

Healing the Wounds of Trauma Led by Dave and Colleen Little
Trauma is a deep wound of the heart and mind that can take a long time to heal. It hurts every part of us: our relationships, our bodies, our thoughts, and our faith. During our time together we will engage in a holistic approach to helping people begin the process of healing. The lessons use stories, activities, Scripture, and questions to help people engage deeply with themselves, with God, and with each other.
